In the academic year 2023–2024, the Genba Sopanrao Moze College of Engineering, Balewadi, opened its Department of Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning. The department offers undergraduate (UG) program with intake of 30 that covers both the essential courses on AI and ML and the foundations of computer science. The program is associated with Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU), Pune, and has been approved by A.I.C.T.E., New Delhi.
Artificial intelligence & Machine Learning is an associated branch of Computer Science which emphases on technology for generating intelligent machines. AI is a technology which allows a machine to simulate human behaviour. ML is a subset of AI which allows a machine to automatically learn from past data without programming explicitly. The goal of AI is to make a smart computer system like humans to solve complex problems. Machine learning focuses on the development of computer programs.
There are several AI and ML career options available in various sectors. A wide range of positions are available in the field of artificial intelligence and machine learning (AI&ML), including those for big data engineers, business intelligence developers, data scientists, software analysts and developers, computer scientists, AI algorithm specialists, research scientists, AI &ML engineers, machine learning and AI scientists, AI software engineers, and many more.
